Introduction: What is the greatest desire of our Lord? It is to preach to Gospel to all nations. We are called to be the witness of the gospel of our Lord. The disciples are told, to wait for the gift the Father had promised (Baptism of Holy Spirit) before they preach.

1. The power of Holy Spirit is essential to Christian witness. Without the power of Holy Spirit we are nothing (Disciples were coward and powerless before they receive power). The power of Holy Spirit enables us to heal, to preach the Word, to know God, to understand, to do miracles (Disciples were uneducated, but with the power of Holy Spirit, they taught, preached powerfully, and healed people).

2. The witness. The Greek word "μ?ρτυρε?" means to bear a true statement, even to the death. It is a testimony (to tell what you know to be the truth). Without knowing the truth of a person, we cannot bear a witness about him. To be a witness of Christ, we need to have intimate relationship with Christ, we must know him-his salvation, his love, his plan for humanity (us).

3. We are bearing a witness till the end of the earth. The Gospel was preached in Jerusalem and Judea (1-7), to Samaria (8), to the Roman Empire (10-28), to the end of the earth (Now). God wants all people to be saved and to come to knowledge of the truth (1 Tim 2:4). Since, bearing a witness of Christ is the greatest will of God; it is a great blessing to be taking part in this redemptive ministry of God. Amen!
