Introduction: The name of Jesus is power and authority over all creation. The name of Jesus has the power to give you healing, joy, peace, victory, wisdom, knowledge and salvation. What all we need is Jesus!

 

1. The important of fellowship. The last part of chapter 2 & now 3:1 emphasized on the importance of fellowship. Fellowship with God and fellowship among believers. In Fellowship, they pray, preach, teach, devote, share and help each other. This help the church grow, bring blessings to individuals.

 

2. oney is not the key; But Jesus is the key to solve our problems. The lame man (from his birth) thought only money is important for his survival, he expected to receive money from someone. But Peter and John didn't give him what he expected or he wanted. God knows his need; the best thing for his life. Jesus Christ first (for eternal life & salvation), and healing. "Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk" (v6).

 

3. Put your faith in action. Peter and John believed, the cripple also believed that Jesus of Nazareth can heal him. They put their faith into action (Peter helped him up, the man walked).

 

4. Praise God for what he has done. When the man was healed he jumped and praised God for the great thing He had done (it is the fulfillment of Isaiah 35:6).
