Spiritual lessons from Paul's life
Acts 20:17-38
Introduction: Paul lived in Ephesus and now the time has come to depart (moving to Jerusalem). Within 3 years he lived a wonderful life in Ephesus. We can learn several good things from Paul.
1. Serving the LORD with humility and tears (19). He had a big heart and a great zeal to bring people to the LORD as many as possible. He didn't depend on his status, education and wisdom, but with humility and love he persuades people to Christ.
2. He lived on purpose (24). He considered, his life is nothing; Jesus is everything (Jesus' mission is everything). He always focused on his life-purpose.
3. Working hard (34). He worked hard and supporting himself and also companions. He considered the weak and the needy.
Conclusion: 3 years of Paul's living in Ephesus has greatly impacted on the life of Ephesians. Before departing, he made them cry all…the departing of a good man makes us cry, but of an evil man made us happy/free. Paul's living is honorable and qualified before God and also before man. Amen!
