Jesus is the reason of our life

Isaiah 9:1-6

Introduction:       Isaiah 9:1-5 talk about the joy of the nations. They rejoice like a farmer rejoices in the harvest; like warriors rejoice in their victory. Isaiah said in verse 6 that the reason of their joy is “Christmas—the coming of Messiah.”

  1. Jesus has come to give us hope. Without Jesus we are in darkness. The coming of Jesus is the dawn and the light! The nations had a great joy when they saw that light of Jesus.

  2. Jesus is wonderful. All about Jesus is wonderful—his birth, life, doctrine, miracles, his death, resurrection. Jesus performed miracles to those who believe him, especially in Galilee. If we trust more in Jesus, we will experience more the wonders of God.

  3. Counselor. He is the wisdom of God. The author and the giver of all excellent counsels. We will be healthy in spiritual, mental and physical when we are engaged in the counseling of Jesus.

  4. Mighty God. He is the creator and has the power to control over his creation.

  5. Everlasting Father—shows a picture of family, as a father, Jesus cares, provides and protects us.

  6. Jesus is prince of peace. If we trust in Jesus, we will receive a unique peace. Jesus promises us that the peace that he has given to us is different from the worldly peace (Jn. 14:27).

Conclusion: Jesus has come into this misery world to give us hope, joy, and peace. He is the reason of our living in this world; and he is also the reason of our joy and hope!
