Freedom from the law; Living for Christ

Acts 15:12-19

Introduction: If you got a phone call from someone, how do you feel? Stress, burdensome or hope and joy. The gospel of Jesus doesn't give us burden, stress and bondage. But it focuses to give us hope, joy and freedom. Everyone has stress and burden. Christ invites us, "Come unto me all who are weary and burdened, I will give you rest."

1. The Gospel of Jesus Christ gives us freedom from laws and regulations. Jesus said "it is finished." What is finished? Jesus had fulfilled all the laws and done our salvation. We don't need to observe the law, we are free. The Gospel gives us hope, joy and freedom.

2. We died to sin, but we live in Christ. Though we are not bonded to the law, we still must do the will of God. But we cannot do it by ourselves; the Holy Spirit helps us to will, to do, and to enjoy in it. If we look the decisions of apostles, all the laws that the Gentiles should keep relate to spiritual and morality. Christ has given us everything, even his own life, therefore, let us live for him by the power of the Holy Spirit. Let us enjoy in a life that Jesus wants us to live.

Conclusion: If we enjoy in doing God's will, God is much more happy and joyful on us. And He will show us greater things in our lives, we will walk in an ever blessing path. Amen!
