Be Transformed in Christ
Romans 12:1-21
Introduction: Romans 1 to11 focus on “Justification by grace through faith.” Romans 12 to 16 tell us the changes that should occur in the life of a believer. We must be transformed, because Jesus works in us.
-
A living sacrifice (1-2). We do not belonged to the world or to ourselves; but we belong to Jesus Christ. Therefore, we need to be transformed in Christ; and submit our life to God as a living and holy sacrifice.
-
We are called and gifted to serve (3-8). We have different gifts but equally important. We have different qualities, but equally important. Therefore, we should respect each other, serve each other, and serve the LORD together.
-
Love in action (9-21). We all have the love of Christ. We must put our love into action. To love each other is the New Commandment of our Lord Jesus Christ. Out of love, we should do everything—pray, serve, hospitality and friendship.
Conclusion: When we receive Christ, the Holy Spirit is working in our lives, transforming us into the image of Christ. Let us live for God’s glory. Amen!
