Be Strong in your Faith

Acts 25:8-12

Introduction: Everyone faces difficulties in life. For believers, we should be strong in hardship, and become matured both in spiritual and physical. As the eagle trains its young eagles, we are trained by God into maturity.

1. Blessing in hardship. Paul was accused, charged without any base or evidence. Why? *We are not belonged to the world, & the world hates us (John 15:18). * We are identified with Jesus/ Jesus is persecuted (Acts 9; Jn 15:20). * when you are persecuted falsely, Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven (Matt. 5:10-12).

2. Fear God, rather than man. Festus & Felix seek for man's favor. But Paul always seeks for God's favor. Do not fear who can kill the body…but fear the One who can destroy both the body and the soul (Matt. 10:28).

3. Be Strong in your faith. Paul faced many time perils and a deadly persecution for the sake of the gospel. In such circumstances, it is easy to forget God's promise; but he is always strong in the promises of God (Acts 23:11). Peter walked on the water, but when he began to forget Jesus' promise he was sunk.

Conclusion: We all have different problems. God is always good and faithful to us. Let us be strong in times of trouble. Let us focus on Jesus & hold His promise firmly. We will have a victorious life. Amen!
