Appreciate God’s people
Romans 16:1-27
Introduction: This chapter is the final greeting of Paul to the Romans Church. His greeting emphasizes appreciation on the hard work of God’s people, giving the warning about false teaching and glorifying God for His mercy and faithfulness.
-
Appreciate God’s people (1-16). Paul mentions a number of names of God’s servants in this passage. He appraises these people for their hard work. We can learn from Paul that we should always appreciate and approve the work or achievement of our friends or co-workers or followers.
-
Be aware of false teaching (17-20). We must be very wise about what is good for the church of Jesus Christ. We should edify the church with sound teaching
-
May God be glorified forever (27). The purpose of the gospel ministry is for God’s glory. The purpose of our lives also is for God’s glory.
Conclusion: We have been hearing about a Christian life or the change that should occur in the life of a believer. We should put our love in action; we live in unity and harmony, we should not judge instead we help each other. And we will live for God’s glory. Amen!
