Introduction: Our LORD JESUS never changes, he did miracles and he still is doing miracle. Miracle is important, but it should lead us to see God's glory.

 

1. Miracle must lead us to God's glory. Miracle is important; the Jews seek for the miracles but they missed Jesus (1 Cor. 1:22). That is a big lesson for today's believers-instead of Jesus, do we seek for miracle, prophets' word & shrines… We must seek Jesus, the healer, and a true miracle comes from Jesus.

 

2. Wrong intention of miracle. The Jews thought they will cast out demons in the name of Jesus (verse 13), but no faith. Wrong intention?? Fame, power, financial gain.

 

3. A true faith and a true miracle that bring God's glory. Paul, by faith, focused on the gospel of Jesus. The result is miracles and God's glory (19:17, 20). People were healed by Jesus' cloak; by Peter's shadow and Paul's handkerchief-the secret is only by faith in Jesus. Jesus is the only source of the true miracle and healing. Jesus-miracle-God's glory. Amen!
