Introduction:      We are forgetful, not thinking of God’s kindness and judgment. Usually our thought and ideas are all time influenced by materialism. Romans 2 remind us to set our mind on spiritual things. It also reminds us to realize the God’s kindness and judgment.

1. Do not judge others (1). If we judge we also will be judged. We all are sinners. The Bible encourages us to help and correct those who are wrong.

2. God’s kindness is intended to lead us to repentance (4). God wants all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Tim 2:4). God does not want anyone to be perished but to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). For believers, when we do wrong, God punishes us, but that punishment leads us to repentance and righteousness (Hebrews 12).

3. God will judge all (6-11). The Jews think they will be escaped from judgment because they are the covenant people who received God’s law. But both Jews and Gentiles will be judged. God will reward everyone who does good (7,10)…but good work is not a means of salvation,. Those who are born of the Spirit are guided by the spirit, and they do good deeds by the power of the Holy Spirit.

4. God does not show favoritism (11). We ca n be escaped from human judgment. But we cannot be escaped from God’s righteous judgment.

Conclusion: Let us prepare everyday for future judgment; it will help us to live in a holy life and to glorify God. Amen!
