A Call to Realize God’s faithfulness

Romans 3:20-24

Introduction: God is faithful to us, and so good to us in spite of our short coming and sinfulness. This passage reminds us and strongly insists us to respond the faithfulness of God.

  1. The law helps us to realize our sins (20). The law is a mirror which helps us to see ourselves. The Law of the LORD is perfect, but we, human beings, are sinners (for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God) verse 23. Though the law guides us to do God’s will and we cannot, therefore, it convinces our sins.

  2. Righteousness is by faith (21-22). In the sight of God, no one is righteous. we can do nothing for righteousness, it is done by God through his Son Jesus Christ. He died on the cross on our behalf and our place and for our sins. Righteousness is the act of God in our lives; we must receive it by faith.

  3. How shall we respond God’s faithfulness? God is good and faithful to us in spite of our short comings and sins. How can we respond—we can trust in His faithfulness; we have to be always thankful to him; We should see things in view of spirituality & positively; and we live in a holy life by the Holy Spirit.

Conclusion: We are very much forgetful, many times, we are not thinking of God’s faithfulness. This chapter calls us to realize God’s faithfulness and to live by faith in His faithfulness. Let us live for God’s glory, Amen!
