A Call to live by faith
Romans 4:1-5
Introduction: In our daily life, we tend to live by sight; we see things through worldly views; we justify things in world thinking, but Romans 4 challenges us to live by faith.
-
Our faith should not be controlled by circumstances. Abraham believed God. When he was promised to have a son, his age was already too old to have a child. But he believed God’s promise.
-
Justification is by faith alone. We can do nothing for our salvation. God makes us justified or righteous on the basis of what our LORD JESUS had done on the cross. We should trust in the Lord and He will justify us.
-
We live by faith for God’s glory. Since we belong to the heavenly citizenship, we should live a life worthy of our salvation (Phi. 2:12-13) and we should live a life worthy of the Gospel (Phi. 1:27-).
Conclusion: When we walk by faith, we will experience more the goodness of God in our lives, and then we will see God’s glory (if you believe, you will see the glory of God John 11:40). Amen!
